The overall purpose of the role is to lead and manage the sales team to achieve loan disbursement targets, grow a quality
loan portfolio, and support the overall business strategy.
Key duties/responsibilities:
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and continuous capacity building initiatives to strengthen sales staff capabilities.
• Drive team performance through structured reporting, performance reviews, and regular field visits.
• Consistently meet monthly targets for sales, portfolio growth, and portfolio quality.
• Support marketing activities and promotional campaigns to boost loan uptake and brand visibility.
• Analyze market trends, competition, and potential new customer segments.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with senior management to align sales activities with overall business strategy.
• Enforce compliance with internal policies, credit procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Work Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or a business-related field from a recognized institution.
• At least ten (10) years relevant work experience in microfinance and banking.
Key Competencies
• Proven track record of supervising sales teams and achieving targets.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of microfinance lending practices.
