Platinum Uganda is committed to corporate social responsibility activities which have a positive and lasting impact on grassroots communities. To this end, PCL Uganda has endeavored to partner with communities in carrying out community-based projects that seek to improve the lives of less privileged members of society.

 

 The company partnered with Mukokyi Primary School in Kabale District early this year to help rebuild a two-block classroom that had fallen to disrepair. Prior to this intervention, the school’s performance had been greatly affected by the poor learning environment as a consequence of the rundown infrastructure. The support will go long way in alleviating the poor learning conditions at the school and is something that the company will look to build on with the school over the coming years.
